      Pros

      They are very accommodating with respect to time off, especially for family issues. The benefits plans are very good for older people or people with . It is a very respectful workplace and everyone treats each other well

      Cons

      the benefits plans are not tailored for younger people. It often feels as though the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. Much of the organization is disorganized and it is hard to communicate interdepartmentally. The pay is really not competitive.

      Pros

      Beall's is ok for entry level managers. 2 Week's off per year & you do get some freedom. Generally associates are nice & other mangers are nice.

      Cons

      Pay for managers is 29K-30K, regardless of experience. Bad communication from corporate to stores.Beall's is ok for entry level managers.

      when bob goodfriend owned the company, it was profitable and a great place to work. when the kmart gurus took over, within 3 years, the company folded

      Cons

      the last 3 years of the company's existence was a roller coaster ride. they treated the dm's like crap, so in turn, the managers got the bullets. what had been built up by goodfriend for 50 years got shot to crap in 3 short years.
