Pros

Competitive pay, ongoing supervision and learning, clinical support

Cons

The company claims company-wide bonuses quarterly, that's never happened in my time with this company. They only approve one to two quarterly bonuses per year.

Pros

The company gives clinicians a lot of autonomy in choosing clients and building a caseload that feels like a good fit. There are also diverse training opportunities and plenty of access to learning resources within the company, which makes it a good place for professional growth. Another perk is the pay structure; especially the ability to earn and accrue PTO to use as needed, which helps set this company apart from others in the field.

Cons

The company has the potential to be an industry leader in ABA, but it often falls short in the bigger-picture execution of its values. While it presents itself as progressive and research-based, the actual staff experience can feel very different. The environment can be overly micromanaged, and upper management may not always provide the level of support, compassion, or practical leadership that staff need. There is also a strong emphasis on meeting standards that look good on paper, even when those expectations are not realistic in day-to-day clinical practice. BCBAs are often expected to complete significant non-billable work, including programming, updates (all which needs to be reviewed by upper management before being implemented) and staff training, without compensation, which contributes to poor work-life balance and burnout. Altogether, this can create a frustrating disconnect between what the company promotes and what employees actually experience.

Pros

- most employees actually care about the values of the company and want to help people, especially the BCBAs and technicians working with the kids - while you will not have comprehensive training, coworkers are typically collaborative and helpful - most roles are hybrid with flex scheduling - the work you do helps children

Cons

- clinicians seem to like the company, but operations is dysfunctional and has a high amount of turnover - favoritism is shown to clinical staff by leadership, if BCBAs raise concerns changes get made - communication is poor company wide, people make assumptions, lots of "passing the buck", cliquey and fragmented social groups, doesn't feel like a cohesive company, normal to hear gossip and complaints when managers are not in the room - follow through from management to take operational problems seriously and take action is hit or miss - little to no standard training for operations staff, new staff are expected to ramp up quickly and just figure it out, promoted supervisor staff don't receive comprehensive management training - leadership eliminates roles in operations when budget is tight, refuses to create new operations roles when necessary and they try to combine responsibilities that cover the work of 2-3 people into single roles to compensate for this - unclear expectations and poorly defined roles, they keep job descriptions vague on purpose and give you more work without more pay or an appropriate title for the industry - company makes changes frequently, dates for implementation get pushed back by management, people seem lost and frustrated by this due to poor communication and lack of training on changes - no company closure dates, few paid holidays, and small amount of PTO - when you do take time off you come back to unfinished/uncovered work - quarterly bonuses are inconsistent, don't count on this as part of your total comp - negotiating raises isn't really an option, you are stuck taking whatever % increase they offer - no paid parental leave package, which is shocking when the majority of BCBAs are women
