      Not bad but could be better

      Pros

      You get a discount of 20% off and if you work hard and get a lot of people to sign up for credit cards you get an even bigger discount. Part time gets vision and dental.

      Cons

      You get basically no hours, shifts can be as short as 3 1/2 hours long. Pay raises are nickel and dime amounts. The company has policies in place to easily fire people and replace them with workers who get paid even less. Favoritism is a big game that gets played. If you don’t kiss up up don’t get to grow in the company.

      No training program for new associates and new managers from outside Belk. You cannot turn to H.R. No clear cut roles. Everyone does everything, everyone is responsible. Open credit cards for Synchrony and this company is not even friendly to the customers that have cards with them. Long hours. Unappreciated. Definite favors. Never expect to move to corporate from a store. Bad Bad Bad Overall. Run!

      Pros

      The other associates within the department as well as other departments. Great hours to make extra money for the holidays. Awesome discounts & double discount days.

      Cons

      Poor upper management!! Super RACIST. & don't get sick, they don't even care enough to check on you. Schedule change pratically everyday. Poor training!
