Discount, some really nice people, some really cras nasty people

Cons

If you like to be yelled at by employees and management this is the place for you. Hold onto your self esteem because you can never live up to expectations. This is a toxic bullying company from management down. I have been in retail a long time and never experienced a company as bad as this one. Most employees are discontent looking for new work!

Great team. Decent Salary. Good place to gain skills for another career in retail.

Cons

Belk will work you until you die....You never have enough staff to run the business effectively, the workload is outrageous. You will never get ahead. Every day is a complete disaster! Some days you will never even get to your own department...Really??

Cons

Weird holiday hours, NO commission/shortened hours after Christmas holiday, and TOO MUCH pressure to sell Belk credit.
