Ever since private equity bought them out back in 2015, the company has truly gone downhill. Everything from lack of communication throughout the company, to not taking care of employees with personal leaves of absence, it has been nothing but misery at Belk. Many stores have lost, on average, at least 2 to 3 million in sales, and thus less managers yet the same expectations. I wouldn't be surprised if Belk doesn't exist within the next year due to 1.1 billion in debt coming due in 2020. Also, schedules change on a whim so forget trying to book doctor's appointments, working 2nd or 3rd jobs or having a life. They expect you to be there period without any accommodation.
