Pros
Retail - it's either something you love or hate. If you've been around for a while you obviously love it. The people you work with. Never the same day twice.
Cons
Very high pressure job, especially on credit production. You can do great on everything else you do and still get canned if you can't meet your credit card signup quotas. Not the same since the Belk family sold out. You're more of a number now than when the family was in charge. The people - try to motivate people to do everyting that has to be done for a starting rate of $8 an hour when Walmart brings them in at $11 an hour. Not easy to do your job - very cumbersome and time consuming to get new hires in place and almost impossible to do correctives as corporate has to be involved with every step now and the employees know this and milk the process.
