Pros

Great benefits and holiday schedule. Relevant initiatives to keep the company competitive in the market. Professional atmosphere. Good platforms. Company branding. Training, accounting, IT, risk management, purchasing, marketing - all departments are great resources

Cons

No "real" support from middle management. RMs lack confidence with problem-solving and often leave CMs feeling unsupported and hindered in maintaining the asset. Communication among departments seems poor and trickles down to site level. The company rollout to Yardi has been an absolute living nightmare. I no longer enjoy my job and am certain my feelings and sentiments are echoed by my colleagues. Performance review process very lax and not viewed in a serious light. Ir HR suspects an associate is not performing to their fullest potential a survey will be sent to all reporting associates asking for feedback. This approach is very effective and should be done to all leaders within the company - don't cherry pick your good managers with this, instead you should seek feedback on all of your people to find out what is going on in your company. Little consistency within markets/regions makes it difficult to be transparent.

Pros

Great onboarding process. Until it's time to get paid...whoops, we offered this job as a salaried position but it's actually a hourly position. Really makes you feel like the company takes a true interest in your professional development, until the company asks you to sign a revised offer letter???

Cons

Not enough training but you better take it upon yourself to get someone to train you. ZERO FLEXIBILITY. Middle management is too green to know how to effectively talk to employees. Better off working for minimum wage than working here....Oh, one more thing, don't express interest in working for another department within the company.

Pros

The company is okay. I have probably stayed this long because of my coworkers. For the most part, the company is consistent in their policies throughout the company. The RM's are nice and easy to talk to. I like that they include anyone who is willing to help do take overs or due diligence.

Cons

Since I have started here (I have been at the same property for not even two years) I am on my third manager. I have put my hand in for the position on several occasions and have made it known that I know I'm ready, but they will not promote. This seems to be common at other properties. The higher ups hire who they know and who they like and don't have faith in their current employees. Seems like there is not much promotion from within from what I have gathered during my time here. Training is non-existent. The CM's have a Bell Buddy that is assigned to them when they start, and training videos, but often times the Bell Buddy's are no where to be seen. I had no training when I came on so had to learn everything on my own. Recruiting team is non-existent as well. We have had open positions for months and maybe one or two actual interviews. Need a help desk ticket resolved? Good luck- it seems like since the transition to Yardi which was now over a year ago, help desk tickets are taking days or even up to two weeks to get responses for.
