Pros

Health benefits and free product occasionally

Cons

Where do I begin? HR is a joke and a waste of time to talk to. They clearly support managers acting inappropriately towards their employees bu failing to hold any of them accountable for their actions. Upper management gossips with each other and about one another. There is no “work life balance” even though they constantly tell you that they care. Store budgets are none existent so be prepared to work in a store that is falling apart.

Pros

I can truly say working at benefit was one of the best jobs I’ve had! The co-workers can be a little snobby when you first start but they’ll it sure become your best friends within a month lol. I loved interacting with different people every day. I loved that it wasn’t a job where you have the same routine everyday. The products are great and I still use them and wouldn’t ever go against benefit products. It’s a fun atmosphere as where all of the other brands are really serious at all times. It’s fun, bubbly, and just a over all great place to work plus you get gratis twice a year :)

Cons

there’s no training at all you go to a class one time if you’re hired after the training day you’ll have to wait till the following year. I jumped into this not knowing anything at all not about selling, not about their products, not even really using that much makeup myself just concealer, mascara, foundation, and powder. That was all I used when first started I am loud spoken when I get comfortable but as I was new I was uncomfortable and didn’t have any type of training. I am so great full I had a team that was willing to help me out. They’ll put you on the spot within a few days and have you do a brow tutorial on a co worker and you have to know what the product does, it’s ingredients, who it works for and who it doesn’t work for. It’s a lot to learn but if you’re fortunate enough to be a quick learner like me you’ll be fine but if not it’ll take some time. The company sends influencers here and there around the world sends them products has parties with them but the company itself never shows its appreciation to its employees period.

Pros

In the Americas division, the senior leadership is excellent. Like, they're really great, smart people who genuinely care about you. The CEO is also pretty wonderful. The benefits are competitive. Office is nice. Some perks.

Cons

Pay is low. In the Americas division, middle managers have poor management skills ( with a few exceptions--HR will protect a bad, less competent manager over a better-skilled subordinate employee who would be a bigger asset to the company). Other entry-level employees are friendly but not super interested in getting to know you. Fairly high stress environment at times.
