Pros

Gratis is nice. You can choose whatever you want and there is usually free shipping. The benefit and retirement packages are diverse. There are always opportunities to meet new people and bring them over to the BeneFit brand.

Cons

The work-life balance is laughable. This is the life of retail. There is absolutely no overtime, period so any hours before shift and after shift are off the clock but you spend them doing things work related like cleaning or doing paperwork. Requesting time off is a roller coaster ride especially when management works against you by getting first dibs on the dates. The hours are less desirable when you have school or children on your schedule as well. So you have to choose what's more important. The Aestheticians are seriously underpaid considering that they are licensed professionals. All tips are taxed. Raises? It isn't enough to be considered a raise. Stress levels are always at the highest concerning the ambitious sales goals that need to be met and you better believe that you don't get any support in helping you to become better at sales. BeneFit has no room to grow, understandably, this company isn't as popular in the east as it is west but there is no incentive to want to grow despite the pitch that there will be other opportunities for you. Lastly, leadership by example is out of the window and so is. Management is nonexistent unless making money is involved. They are unfriendly and sometimes rude when dealing with employees but expect you to greet and handle customers/clients with great customer service. Counter managers, LSA and RM have all let supplies go unordered for days with the BA's or Aesthy's paying out of pocket for incidentals is a very notable issue.

Pros

Hourly salary is competative for aestheticians Employee discount is generous Training classes are fun

Cons

This company is all about chasing clients. Literally. They expect you to "pull" meaning talk customers passing by into sitting on your chair and convincing them to buy everything you show them. I've seen pushy sales people walk and talk with the clients for about 20 seconds not letting them go so they can see "our fabulous new blush". This company has unrealistic sales goals expectations. They threaten to fire you every single week if you don't make these unrealistic sales numbers. They shove sales numbers down your throat, expect you to make miracles happen. If you like being that pushy annoying sales person that chases people walking by, then you'll fit right in with this company. The stress isn't and wasn't worth it for the rest of us.
