I've been working in the beauty /skincare space for 9 years and working here was an unhealthy experience. It's different for everyone but here is my personal story: I worked at their corporate office in SF for two years full time. The turn over rate is so high the two years I was there I kept getting a new manager every couple of months. One of my managers always bothered me outside of working hours and always texted my person cell phone (I had a work phone and work email) and demanded I responded to her. There is no work life balance. Yearly merit increases are so sad - yearly inflation in SF and the merit increase you break your back for does not match up. Promotions are based on if you just stick around and wait for everyone talented to quit because the working conditions are so terrible. They favor people with no talent who comply. There is no diversity here.
