I truly believed in Benefitfocus, but seeing my best friends and coworkers, who have some of the most amazing insight on process improvements and ideas to make this company better - who truly care about the product and Benefitfocus - are filing out one by one, more and more every day because we have an executive leadership team that is so far removed from what this company actually delivers and what the employees do, they can't begin to understand what people are begging them to hear. Bad decision after bad decision aren't acknowledged and owned up to, they are just blamed on managers or supervisors who have been advocating against them. Everyone is disgusted by working 80 hours a week (during our busy season) without a thanks or hint of recognition for being away from their families and friends. Everyone works twice as hard to support a global team, requiring very explicit instructions, then has to fix issues when they weren't understood - not because it's more efficient, but because they are forced to give them work by leadership. More and more hardworking employees continue to be laid off by cheap labor overseas, but never in client facing positions because we are told to keep up a certain image of having onshore support. This is not the company I was proud to work for and passionate about our product. This is about balance sheets and shareholders
