Pros

You can make your own schedule and come and go as you want. That does come with micromanagement though as well.

Cons

Everything. The agency is a joke. People are not being helped and everything is about money and numbers. Upper management needs to re-evaluate their practices because it may make numbers look good but the quality of care being provided is unsatisfactory.

Pros

I do believe that some pros may include: Job experience, a bi-weekly check and free coffee/whole milk. (Milk is only for coffee)

Cons

The biggest challenge was staying motivated. Upper Management/Supervisors have never been Care Managers before (except for 2) and do not understand the work it takes to provide "Wraparound" to the families. They have you literally input every single thing you do on your outlook calendar just to micromanage and know exactly what you do at every moment. They are always conducting "trainings" on basic knowledge things such as using a work station phone, outlook, and even "safety". I believe that they do not understand the culture of working full-time and providing your extra time for the families in Bergen County. Bergen's CMO is the only CMO in New Jersey with a Worker's Union. That alone should tell you why the Union is needed at this work place. Bergen's Promise also implements new stuff every month and always places the responsibilities on the Care Managers. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, since i have worked here, i have seen over 60-80 Care Managers resign from this position.
