Cons
- No real relationship between performance/promotion or pay increases. HR approves promotions; raises are based on committee review; Individual Development Plans are done rather than performance reviews. - Managers do not deal directly with employees, instead, go to HR or other management to "deal with the issue" This is catty, not professional. - No firm-wide processes in place (much of what is done is siloed) - Culture/structure makes it difficult to implement any improvements/changes without long delays (months or even years). By the time an improvement is made, it is already outdated. - Operations staff lack support and inclusion - Administrative Staff is considered a burden on resources but handles day-to-day functions to ensure the company is successful.
