Meeting new people, occasional tips, corporate rewards program. My coworkers are fairly awesome.

Cons

2nd shift has zero support staff in the hotel itself. Run entirely on your own. So not only doing your job, but picking up the slack of other shifts, housekeeping, maintenance and security. Being on call despite schedules being set a month in advance and expected to plan your life around it but drop everything for almost minimum wage and no benefits. Constantly short staffed because of the high turnover rate. Every hotel is independently owned and run, so it's not the same for each one. Some may be good. Mine isn't.

I would not consider the compensation to be competitive. While the organization is attempting to make itself more competitive with other brands, this has led to a sense of instability within the organization, and concerns that it may be to little to late to play catch up with the competition.
