Pros

Company’s sustainability mission is supported by most employees.

Cons

The culture has become toxic, but those in a position to fix it don’t want to admit it is happening. It is like high school and one big popularity contest, so you can get further by gossiping to and drinking with the right people than you can by being good at your job. It has become so demotivating that many have stopped caring because the dysfunction keeps getting worse.

Pros

1. The Founders - not even kidding, all of them are humble, sustainability-driven, funny, down to earth. Very easy to interact with. Despite the company's rapid growth, you never get a sense that they've lost site of their origins 2. The rest of the people! Everyone really cares about reducing plastic and tin waste. People are down to earth. The people who've worked there longer don't give off an aura of superiority. People immediately accept new hires into the company 3. The Product - it's just great. It really is.

Cons

HQ is starting to get really full and needs extra space soon - on the plus side, you get to know everyone better! Would be nice if they matched any of your 401k contributions

Hi reviewer, it's great to hear this feedback - thank you! You're not alone in looking for more from our 401(k) plan, though. Our benefits renew with the calendar year. Wheels are already turning toward better plans & more benefits and perks in 2019. I don't want to promise matching just yet, but can definitely share that improvements are on the way.

Pros

It's the most fun product I've ever sold. It's rewarding to see customers get so excited in meetings. There's a feeling that we are building something great and making a big change on the industry. Colleagues are not competitive with each other. Senior management is busy but accessible, everyone will make time for you if you ask.

Cons

You're expected to hit ambitious targets but there's not really a process to follow to hit them. In sales, you need to be really proactive and find solutions to your own problems.

This is a tricky but important challenge to face! At this stage of our growth there's a real need to strike a balance between recognizing the scrappy hustle that got us to where we are today & make sure we can continue to scale in sustainable ways. Our Ops, Sales, and Customer Success Teams have developed "Playbooks" which are now shared during new employee on-boarding to help folks get up to speed. January 2018 also marked the launch of Namely, our HRIS, where we've built out internal resources full of FAQs, How-Tos, and DIY Guides with best practices. Next up is making sure we find a way to get all new hires out into the field to visit our clients & get into a machine. In the works...stay tuned!
