Pros

Avecto used to be a great forward thinking company.

Cons

Since being aquired by Bomgar (100% owned by a hedgefund) there has been less forward thinking and more about profitability.

Pros

I enjoy my current role

Cons

Can be very sink or swim. Different leaders create different experiences and different leaders coming and going on the same team create vastly different experiences.

Appreciate the comments and thanks for being a long tenured team member. We are going to have constant change but it should be moving towards a consistent goal and direction and should not create vastly different experiences from one leader to the next. If you have any ideas on how we can improve our change ability please reach out to your HRBP. We are always trying to improve.

Pros

The product range is genuinely excellent and does not give you any kind of slimy salesperson "I hope the customer doesn't find out that..." fears. Very, very rare to find a customer who is not completely happy. Great communications from leadership. Genuine desire to retain and grow staff. Many "boomerang" employees who discovered the grass isn't necessarily greener! Lots of sales training - mandatory, optional and self-learn are all available. Impressive investment in sales support tech (Gong, Trumpet, Highspot, Salesforce etc etc etc) Inhouse sales methodologies based on MEDDPICC, Force Management etc.

Cons

Product pricing can be right at the border of competitive and uncompetitive, and discount approvals can be slow. Internal processes can be shonky (sometimes just "email a distribution list" which is not a process) and as a newbie, your frequent "how do I...?" questions are often 'answered' by just pointing you at someone else who might know the answer. Who then does the same. There should be a much better & searchable knowledge bank/FAQ Legal team responsive and friendly but utterly uncompromising when it comes to customer contracts. "we won't sign your contracts" is ok for SMEs but hard to explain to customers who are 10x the size & revenue of BeyondTrust. Can hold up deals. Sales ideas and new methodologies have sometimes felt rushed out/untested - someone's had a genuinely good idea but it gets pushed to 200 ish sellers without properly beta testing/confirming it scales up.

Thank you for the kind and constructive comments. I like that you called out our happy customers , especially considering our high NPS scores, and the number of boomerangs we get each year which I believe shows the strength of our culture and employee value proposition of Believe, Belong, Become. On the topics of process such as legal and distribution lists, please continue to share those with your manager and leadership team. We are always trying to improve our processes.
