Pros

Great benefits and salary, possibility of co-investment, annual bonuses, a strong and profitable company, leader in the market. Excellent people to work with.

Cons

Sometimes the desire for constant improvement when things are working perfectly can lead to disaster. This happened to my department, where the "fixes" actually broke things, led to nearly half of the team being fired, and the arrival of micromanagement to overstress even more those who were spared. Don't let Perfect be the enemy of Good.

Thank you for the review and calling out our total rewards and the strength of the company. I am sorry about your experience with management. We are metrics driven but this should not turn into micromanagement. We continue to rollout training to managers and leaders to mitigate this going forward. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

BeyondTrust Boomerang is Back

Pros

I'd like to share my experience of working at BeyondTrust for two years, then leaving for 6 months, then returning again. To provide some perspective, I bring a 20+ year sales career ranging from startups to F100 companies as an enterprise and commercial sales rep in the software market. As a company, BeyondTrust is highly successful, privately-held cybersecurity software company specializing in identity security related to credentials, privilege and access. They have analyst-leading products in at least two categories: Privileged Access Management and Remote Access thanks to their password vaulting and rotation and remote support solutions. BeyondTrust's technology stack impressive, and that is of utmost importance. Leaders like Morey Haber and Marc Maiffret represent the caliber of people who have helped define the identity security market over the past decade and have brought their A-game to help distinguish BT from the legacy players (CyberArk/Thycotic). From an Executive level, CEO Janine Seebeck is a hands-on leader who has the vision and experience to lead the BT ship into the next chapter. From a job satisfaction standpoint, BeyondTrust has exceeded nearly all of my expectations. Workplace environment, culture of excellence, and career development are a few areas that jump out at me. Health benefits, remote work, 401K options are all very good as well. Living in the most expensive zip codes in the nation, the salaries are not going to be the highest. But their bonus structure and (for salespeople like myself) variable compensation structure is more than fair. In my boomerang case, I left for a big raise at a competitor, but a toxic, ego-driven work environment wasn't worth the money. Coming back to BeyondTrust has made me realize what a unique culture they have built that closely mirrors their core values of: Teamwork, Integrity, Passion, Humility, Accountability and Results.

Cons

I can only speak for sales roles, but compensation packages may be lower than similar roles at other companies.

So glad to have you back! We have a good number of boomerangs every year and it is because of experiences like yours. I appreciate the callout of our high caliber leaders like Janine, Morey, and Marc. It is amazing to have such drivers of the industry in one company who not only help direct how we support our clients but create the culture that you mentioned. Thanks for the feedback on the pay. We consistently review through the year to remain competitive but are always trying to improve.
