Pros

For average or below average performer, there are lot of opportunities. Company promoted personnel based on how can a people talk rather than can do. Team workers usually are fine. Benefit is not bad.

Cons

Innovative thinking is not welcome. Company keep repeating strategies that has been proven not work A lots of politics in a public company. Company is doing nothing to fix reoccurred issue.

Pros

Able to gain a multilevel capability in the field of mechanical & electrical if one intends to do so as it is an independent work environment. You have all the authority to make things work but you have to do it all by yourself.

Cons

Local benefits differs with that from that of HQ. Emphasize teamwork but in actual fact isn't as eventually has to do it yourself. All is just an act to the Dictator to see and know. Historical data shows that one can't work long in the field of quality. Only the old-timers of the company remains long since they are the Dictator's favorites. Company expects on-time delivery of work and report to work. Given warning letter is a norm though.

Pros

conservatively run family business, good product line-up, stable markets. Generally speaking friendly environment and co-operative, consensus culture. The owning family (and CEO) don't only preach but live values like integrity. 5 out of 5 stars for that.

Cons

top management in the international selling organisation runs the show like royalty. There are a handful crown princes/princesses with exclusive access to leadership and who can do no wrong. Everyone else has to ensure they are in good standing with the inner circle or will be viewed as expendable item otherwise. This culture completely stifles productive discussion or communication - it's all about impressing the top few with slick presentations. If you address issues or confront glossy presentations with market reality, you risk being viewed as negative. Generally the company is slow to act on anything - endless discussions in upper management require years of waiting before change is implemented - that is a dangerous style in an external evironement that doesn't wait for BR to make up their mind.
