Pros

From what I hear from other techs, moving shifts, changing lunch times, handling issues, taking vacation time seems to be quite easy to work with their respective supervisors on. Everyone is friendly and although the workload is high volume, the environment does not feel as intense. Great place to start out from college.

Cons

401k match could use some much needed love. Techs are certainly underpaid for their work. Techs from other medical diagnostic labs seem to have better benefits but less experience, Molecular Women's Health - some of the worst lower management I have seen. All they care is about profits and for that matter all things regarding to their techs as human are utterly forgotten. If you do not have 1st shift you aren't thought of, you are expected to complete more than 40 hours of work without going a minute over. Lunch breaks must be documented everyday (cannot overlap with another employee), bathroom breaks have to be "approved" by the shift lead, Mgmt team more concerned with work turnover than training techs with an understanding of the science behind the procedures. 2nd (4:30pm - 1:00am) and 3rd (12:30am-9:300am) shift times are very awkward and should be changed. Transferring departments from MWH seems to be impossible. Makes building a career impossible.

Pros

Extensive experience on Critical thinking while under pressure

Cons

Unfair treatment by upper management. Discrimination & favoritism between prior employees & newly hired employees. Micromanaged & no trust. No relationship bond between employees & employers. Excessive denials when requesting PTO. I can go on but I don’t have all day!

Pros

You're your own boss, high wage especially for Upstate, NY, only needed to alert a Supervisor if you were running late or if an accident happened in the road, you get your own car for deliveries that DOESN'T cost you anything to use it for personal use. All vehicle maintenance bills were covered, and there was no unnecessary large forms to fill out per delivery. Even at the end of the shift. Mostly sedentary, only required light labor for most of the job. Long hours were the best with plenty of overtime.

Cons

Drivers aren't covered by the company's auto insurance policy. Got involved in an accident where a car crashed into me and broke several bones in my body, but I received no financial support from this company. No insurance cases could be filed. They also don't take too kindly to people that have to be out of work for a long time. Got fired after only being out for a year and three months on Workers Comp. HR said I used up all of my alotted "medical absence" time or something like that. I wish my bones were able to all be healed in a year and three months so I could've kept this job. But sadly, apparently, it wasn't meant to be. Really unfortunate, I actually really liked this job, at least up until the accident transpired. FUTURE MEDICAL COURIERS OF THIS COMPANY BEWARE!!! DON'T END UP LIKE ME!!!
