      Learning a tremendous amount for use in the industry career Many resources to learn state of the art biotech Excellent benefits - including THE BEST tuition reimbursement in the industry A place where people can spend their entire career

      Tough to advance in one's career - too many very talented people and too few promotions Very tough for average performers to do well.

      Lots of great benefits; stable company; good opportunity if you're based near Cambridge; not in RTP or San Diego

      Cons

      Very cut-throat and non-supportive culture; young marketing teams with high turnover; Sales teams are full of good people, but some grandfathered in from elsewhere with lots of baggage and sense of entitlements.

      Pros

      Biogen IDEC is working towards bettering the lives of people with debilitating illness rather than just looking for "Me Too" drugs. The compensation is very competitive and the 6% 401k matching is an industry best. Very interested in employee retention and upward mobility.

      Cons

      Haven't worked in the position long enough to properly evaluate cons for the company. They require me to show up for work if I want to get paid.
