Dreadful Sales Culture & Weak Leadership

Pros

Birst "was" a fabulous up and coming company with a strong mid market cloud BI offering. Birst "had" a great culture with very smart and passionate forward thinking professionals. Technology is legit and continuing to get better.

Cons

Birst has sold it's soul to venture capital investors who have compromised the integrity of the organization with the placement of incompetent leadership to facility short term initiatives to support the sale of the company. What was once a rising star has now become a true mess.

Pros

Being in downtown San Francisco definitely was a good selling point for me. Access to there tools and the training were advantageous for learning.

Cons

Startup? Not Really. Felt like every team was set in their ways. Development was fast but there were tons of pain points for each iteration.

Pros

Nothing of substance. They had good snacks I guess. The bathrooms were clean. My peers were nice people for the most part. A few jerks here and there.

Cons

Most everything else. The office was cramped, the founders were cheap, and the product was filled with bugs. It was like living in a NYC slum.
