Pros

Overly generous budget, access to the right tools to get the job done, generous staff size creates work life balance, many good people work here

Cons

Widespread politics, lack of leadership cohesion, overspending, country club culture that drives indecision or poor decision making by leaders, wasteful mindset for a non-profit, inexperienced leaders, many employees are retired in their jobs

Pros

1) An inspiring mission and vision. 2) Wellvolution program that encourages employee engagement with their own health with the opportunity to earn rewards 3) Pockets of change within the organization working to transform, modernize culture and processes.

Cons

1) There is a disconnect between the vision and leadership of senior management (CEO and SVPs) and that of middle management. Priorities and values seem to get lost in the sausage making at the director and manager level. Many just continue to do what they're used to regardless of the company strategy. 2) There is a slow change occurring to a more contemporary, team based culture as opposed to the command and control, top-down style of old.

Pros

I was given some unique opportunities to train offshore Opportunity for professional growth Flexibility to work from home Decent benefit package Nice work environment/ cafeteria

Cons

Trainers are extremely underpaid for what they are expected to do. Long hours, expected to travel overseas and leave your family for extended (months) period of time with no additional compensation Poor decision making - I saw a lot of money wasted on failed or poorly planned projects Company puts people in leadership positions with no experience or education Most trainers start at entry level with no experience or understanding of adult learning
