Pros

The management is very open. The industry has its ups and downs but there is a clear strategy.

Cons

There are some of the "old guard" that are fighting change.

Pros

The environment at Boart Longyear is dynamic. The mining industry changes on the market and the company adapts to that. The leadership team is positive and down to earth and are open to new techniques, technologies, and opinions.

Cons

As 2012 turns in to 2013 they are in search of a new CEO. The company appears to be in a cost savings mode. There seems to be uncertainty on specific initiatives, but that will most likely clear up as the new C-level team stabilizes. I believe that the long term outlook is good and they will continue to be a great company to work for and work with.
