Pros

I worked ortho. As far as bedside nursing jobs go, it doesn't get much easier. 5x1 ratio. Just a very easy unit. 90% of the job is just pain control. Never once felt like crying in the bathroom. All the rooms had built in vitals machines, so no lugging around the vitals machine from room to room. Also each room had its own built in computer, so no lugging around a computer from room to room. These were luxury items compared to my previous hospital.

Cons

Everyone is liberal af. But it's Boulder. What do you expect?

This is a very nice and well kept hospital. It is well staffed for the most part. Night shift differential is competitive. Incentive shift program.

Cons

One of my least favorite things about working here is the patient population.
