A lesson in how not to manage.

Pros

Good people in the lab. A decent amount of high-complexity testing considering the size of the lab, but a limited number of people perform that work.

Cons

Compensation is not competitive with surrounding hospitals. Benefits are significantly more expensive. Management is horribly ineffective, they rarely value the input from the quality techs. BCH hires a lot of people from out of state, half of the new hires don't turn out well.

Horrible salary, no respect, any attempt to change the status quo is quickly squashed. If you are competent, you will get buried with work without any support, prioritization, recognition or understanding of how impossible it is to deliver information. Project Management department is completely clueless and self interested.
