Pros

The painter and the CSR do their job fully, and work very hard! The porter sits in customers cars and listen to music and talks on the phone. This is a decent place to work, if you like not having communication in your job. This is a great place to work if you want your manager talking horribly behind your back when you call in sick. This place is great if you want your general manager to disrespect you. They pay you on time, the insurance is decent.

Cons

The shop is dirty all the time, there is no team effort. The manager is socially inept. The manager basically hands out work, and that's about it. There is 0 leadership with this management team, very poor. I was there for almost 8 years and left them without a two week notice. The general manager is verbally abusive, and speaks of wanting to find hookers on 8 Mile and Woodward with multiple employees.

Pros

Remote work, good colleagues. Lot of perks like good health insurance, 401k match, education reimbursement. Also gives you good scope to grow provided you work hard

Cons

Currently company is undergoing waterfall to Agile change. Growing always comes with pain and Boyd is no excuse. Leadership needs to pay more attention to lower level workers. Not enough workforce and more often people do get bombarded with more than 1 role. Heavy iteration which the executive team needs to address.

people are friendly, there's no unecessary workplace drama

Cons

no raises in years / no bonuses / removed remote work allowance / expensive health insurance / will occasionally deny PTO / old & outdated computers that run slow with poor internet speeds / overpriced product
