Pros

- PTO - good insurance - gain more people skills

Cons

- when you use the PTO it's a problem - no work/life balance - favoritism - sales & marketing associate hardly involves any marketing

I’m so very sorry to hear that your experience with Bozzuto did not meet your expectations. We are proud that the vast majority of our staff enjoy a happy and fulfilling career with us. That said, as hard as we try to get it right all of the time, there will be times we fall short. We encourage our team members to give us feedback through their managers, through Bozzuto Voices and through our employee survey, so we can continue to learn and improve the way we work. Please feel free to contact me to provide your feedback in more detail. I would appreciate the opportunity to learn from your experience. Thank you, JoLynn Scotch Managing Director of Property Operations

Pros

-PTO -some residents can be great - learn about the real estate industry

Cons

-you will work every weekend -you will be disgraded by some residents These are my personal experiences at Bozzuto .... not many minority property/assistant property managers. A direct quote from upper management “Black women are unrelatable” They also paid my new colleague more then me even though I had more experience in real estate including a license and had been with the company longer. Watch your bonuses like a hawk. If you don’t be prepared for mistakes/stealing by your manager. Also HR is a waste of time so don’t bother with them. I finally quit after over 2 years. The company culture was the worse and diversity is terrible. There is lack of mobility abdomen growth.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I take your feedback very seriously. As an African American woman and someone who has grown in the organization over the past decade, I can say with conviction that women of color are not only "relatable" but wanted and needed throughout the organization and at every level of leadership. Our commitment to this has most recently been acknowledged by CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion and our designation as a Top Workplace for Female Executives by the National Association of Female Executives. Despite this, there is always room for improvement, and as a Bozzuto leader and Partner, I would like the opportunity to better understand what gets in the way of our diversity and inclusion goals. Furthermore, I’d like to also identify any other areas of improvement as we want every team member to benefit from an extraordinary experience working with us. Please consider this an invitation to reach out to me directly to discuss your experience. We can't affect change if we don't talk about it. Stephanie Williams

Pros

The benefits are great. The pay can be attractive for some positions. You get the ability to meet new people and develop relationships with some awesome people. Communities are quite luxurious and their apartments and homes are impeccable. On paper, it sounds like a dream.

Cons

The recent decline of the company is seen by many employees in Corporate and others in the industry but leadership often turns a blind eye when numbers are being met. There is a serious lack of diversity within the company and many hidden silos exist which causes division among employees. There is an "in crowd culture" within this company, either you are in or you are out sadly. The recent turnover rate within the company is unbelievable and I am sure this is not what Tom Bozzuto envisioned for his company. I have personally seen valuable employees leave the company as I did because of the dysfunctional culture. The company was built on a set of principles that the employees and leaders do not stand behind. Many employees do not speak the real truth for fear of their jobs but there are serious issues within the company that Leadership needs to attend to and immediately.
