Pros

Salary - Living Wage, great benefits, generous holidays, healthcare Really nice working environment - the bars and offices are really nice to spend time in Senior managers - approachable, always asking for opinions and ideas, seem genuinely interested Challenge - it's not a place where you can come in and sleepwalk through the day, you have to think all the time, and its quite often hard, but it's definitely interesting Opportunities - there seem to be loads of chances for people to progress here, lots of people who are senior managers now who started in junior roles. Training is always on offer for people who want it.

Cons

Some people here just don't like it, and that can be draining to be around. It's obviously not for everyone, but the people who are negative about it will take any opportunity to moan. I don't expect all my co-workers to be really happy 24/7, but some people seem like they are trying to bring everyone down.

Pros

Living wage salary - They pay a bit more than the rest of the fast food chains. Free beer after shift

Cons

Management Management is one of the main reasons for my negative review. This company seems to hire managers who are friends of other managers, instead of people who are actually fit for the job. They seem to be unqualified for their position, resulting in chaos in the restaurant. There are people who I've seen drinking alcohol on shift or completely disregarding safety measures while preparing the food. Despite above and overall rude behaviour to others, nothing could be done to them, as they were friends with people on higher position in this company. Training Being a newbie in that company is a hell of a journey - i had zero training. They just don't do that. They put you on the position and good luck. If you screw up, it's your fault. No risk assesment and such were provided for me to complete, this is something basic and should be done right away, but after 3 months nobody bothered to do anything with it. Food quality is awful. And that's for more than just one restaurant, as i've visited other ones as customer. Many products they order are low quality and not served fresh - mainly meat. Managers are aware of that and encourage chefs to ignore it. After eating in other restaurants the standard, or rather lack of it, seems to be the same.

Hi, thank you for submitting your thoughts on your experience. Obviously a lot of what you’ve raised is exceptionally concerning, and not at all the standards we expect to be upheld in our sites. If you don’t feel like the site manager was taking your concerns seriously, we’d really recommend that you get in touch with the area manager or People team so that we can take action.
