Bridgecrest's CORE values only apply to customers
Pros
Decent pay, for the most part. Depending on the department, you can get a set schedule.
Cons
The company is not transparent as they claim and the managers and leadership do not back up their employees. Employees are not valued and it shows with the treatment they receive. Customers are allowed to belittle, verbally assault, verbally sexually harass, and use racial slurs against employees with no consequences. Employees are mocked for their integrity and intelligence by customers and the leadership expects the employees to be professional when the assaults and insults do not stop. Employees are also told they cannot hang up in a professional manner or the employee will be reviewed for an immediate final or terminated. I have been told "it isn't the customer's job to be professional" "don't interrupt the customer" "let the customer vent" "be more empathetic" There is a time and place for empathy and compassion. When you are being attacked in any way possible, that is not the time for empathy. Form my personal experience, I have been threatened, verbally assaulted, sexually verbally assaulted, name called every vulgar name in the book, and racially insulted. All of these instances, I stood up for myself and told the customers they will not speak to me in that matter. I brought every one of these instances to leadership but nothing was ever done. Instead, some customers complained that I was unprofessional, rude, and talked over them. I once received a hand written letter from a customer addressed to me at the company's address saying that they know where I work and will ask every employee as they leave if they know me and will wait til i exit the building, follow me to my home, shoot me and do sexually explicit things to my corpse. The customer lived in Illinois; I don't take threats lightly. I immediately brought it to leadership, they only put a Cease and Desist. nothing further, no charges were filed against the customer. Several times male customers told me that since I have a big mouth and wouldn't let them speak to me in a degrading and disrespectful way, that they will fill my mouth with their genitals to shut me up. Other times, male customers tell me that they want to put me in my "place" by bending me over a table and use their genitals to violate every hole on my body. Nothing worse than to be violated like that on the phones. All of it is recorded too, for quality assurance. If you speak up about it, you get reprimanded or written up for being "unprofessional" and not meeting "core values". And depending on the severity, you will get fired. I will be putting in my 2 weeks notice today. I am not paid to take abuse from customers and neglect from managers.
