Pros

They care for you while you are their employee, but after you leave, they are not. Excellent training! Good pay!

Cons

ResCare uses a third-party verification system. Potential employer(s) don't like having to register just to get employment verification. I wasn't considered for several positions because of this.

Helping the clients on a daily bases.

EVERYTHING !!! Normal Life Of Indiana (Rescare) Is absolutely horrible. The pay is too low, high turnover, they will hire anybody. The good Dsp's always leave. They keep abusive, unprofessional staff that are rude and abusive to clients. Management does not care about the DSP's or the clients. The nurses are horrible. They have the DSP's handle medical issues. We even have to order the medications. They don't compensate you for gas mileage or wear and tear on your vehicle. This company needs to be shut down. Rumors are that they have been reported to social security office and beads. There is currently a lawsuit pending for neglect and abuse of clients.
