Pros

Great upside on Salary, lots of opportunities due to tremendous growth and good Team leads and technology leadership. CTO is good for the dev team , keeps devs insulated from upper management .

Cons

Some areas of dev team involve older technology work.

Brightree stays abreast of market dynamics and salary requirements and we do pay fairly for the work expected - good that this reviewer sees that as an upside. Nice shout out to our CTO - she is the best! Regarding "older technology": while we have released a first-of-its-kind and well-received iPad app used in the home heath and hospice industries, and our SaaS products are market leading, the reviewer is referring to our need for C#, asp.net, JavaScript, and generally the Microsoft stack skills needed for our dev positions. Overall, we'll take the 5 stars!

Pros

Having worked for Brightree for many years I have seen the company grow through the hard work and dedication of its employees. This was not accomplished by working 9-5, but through a willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done. This philosophy comes from the top from Dave Cormack and the management team, but expected from everyone. This dedication and commitment is part of the culture at Brightree and one of the reasons that even with about 500 employees it still feels like a small company. While Brightree encourages employees to go the extra mile, it also has offered me the opportunity for growth and advancement of my career. While I can’t speak for the other reviewers here, I can say that when Dave Cormack asks employees to take up the challenge and bring solutions maybe they should have raised their hand. I did, and it worked for me.

Cons

If you are looking for a job where you punch a clock and turn off your computer at 5:00 every day, this may not be the place for you. That said, if you are looking for a career with a growing company with a good team of dedicated employees then I would highly recommend you take a look at Brightree.

This reviewer makes it clear that there are no shortcuts to success. Team members create opportunities for themselves by doing quality work. That quality work allows us to best serve our customers. Our reputation with those customers allows us to grow. The growth means new positions need to be filled. The solid team members are promoted into those positions, and the cycle continues.

Work Hard, Rise to the Challenge

Pros

Great place to work! Brightree has grown by leaps and bounds over the years, which provides lots of room to grow. I enjoy all the people I work with and accomplishing goals as a team. Work is never boring as we look for ways to improve our customers' experiences -- from new services or products, to new training methods, both internal and customer training, to assisting the customers with the latest challenge the are facing in their businesses. Yes we push each other and our managers push us, to provide solutions - and we rise to new levels of personal performance. We also take time to play where we can, and we do that with the same 'go for it' attitude.

Cons

With continuous growth, we are sometimes like a gawky teenager whose growth in different areas is not synched up. We get out of synch, seem to lose our communication channels, and it sometimes feels like we must reinvent the wheel. Not atypical of a growing company, I think, just challenging at times.

There is a consistent theme to the reviews: great place to work...growth opportunities...taking care of the customer...high levels of performance... About that "gawky teenager" comment - it might be true, but it's really not bad because it's just part of the journey. Years ago we were a start-up. Today we can look back on what got us here, and forward, to more innovative solutions for our customers. (You survived your teenage years didn't you?! )
