Pros

Somewhat open culture and good benefits. Reasonable medical insurance and pay scale.

Cons

- You will get buried in too much work and will end up working 10+ hours each day at minimum. People end up working over the weekend to catchup with the extra workload. - The amount of added responsibility or overloaded work doesn't transform into growth and bonus. Yes it does sometimes reflect in “Shout-outs” in company meetings, thats all. - Very few people who are close to the management get rewarded for hard-work, others are forced to do without any added benefits. - Nothing is managed in professional way and it does feel like the managers just creating task and throw around it to people and pressurize them to commit to a deadline. - There is no formal training to experienced hires and ofter its just jumping to the work right away on 1st day itself. - No Career growth. Have seen people literally stuck with what they are doing for 10+ years without any growth. - Whoever looks capable does leave to join Google or better opportunities and other people are stuck with this company. - Now the company is looking heavily into outsourcing work to other software firms outside USA. This may eventually lead to layoffs of employees. Outsourcing already resulted in closing of QA dept. - Outsourcing companies provide very poor quality work, but managers ignores that for economical reasons and also they get stressed out managing poor outsourcing companies. Management is often not cared about the humongous amount of extra load on employees to manage the work outsourced.

Pros

Nice view from the office with an opportunity to dabble in finance and try to assume ownership

Cons

Archaic structure with next to no opportunity for growth. All knowledge in the company seems to be held in the heads of employees both current and former. Documentation is out of date and finding information is made to feel like pulling teeth You are asked to be independent yet told to not be afraid to ask questions. It's a hilarious dichotomy which just makes you feel like you're a burden on others for not knowing everything. Whenever something is wrong, it's your fault yet when things go well, it's because Broadway is the best at what it does. At no point do you feel valued. Basically, this company feels like a college frat. Things are run a certain way and will not change. You either have to adapt or get out. Your concerns really will never be taken into consideration and those who are rewarded are those who put on the best face and are known better by upper management. Performance really has no concrete indicator, it's all perception. You are meant to be there regardless of what you're doing just for the sake of seeming like you're busy. You can do better than this company, believe me.

Pros

I worked at many companies before starting my career at Broadway and have never felt so empower to affect change and take ownership as I have during my time at here. The direction of the company is driven openly and all employees are encouraged to speak up and get involved with everything that resonates with us. Broadway is also a true meritocracy that heavily values the self-starters who seek out new challenges so they can lend a hand and contributing from day one. They pay very fairly, have annual profit sharing, team retreats, great benefits, and freedom to work transition from location to location as your life evolves. I was in NY for a number of years, then asked to relocate to Austin... and that was no problem! This is an amazing place to work, to grow your skills and to hone your leadership qualities.

Cons

The downside to rapid growth is there is a large workload and a lot of responsibility - this is not a place to hide. The business requires everyone proactively dive into the work and own it. If you are not ready to do that, this is not the place for you. Historically on-boarding and ramp up is steep curve and has been a challenge to many. With this in mind, the company is making large efforts to improve that process through team building, better documentation and tutorials, regular SME topic presentations, and better overall new employee support and tools.
