Needs a cultural change

Pros

- Due to the size of the Company, you will get to work on interesting deals and get exposure to many different parts of real estate - There are some good people here that make the day to day better

Cons

- Below market pay, which employees are starting to catch on to - Really showed their color during covid. Employees had to come into the office everyday with no flexibility and little safety protocols in place - Long work hours and structured now where everyone feels like a cog as opposed to an individual. People are quitting and HR shrugs it off as if everyone is replaceable. - Overall, bad culture. People are overworked, with poor management, and below market pay.

Pros

- The pay is good

Cons

- Salary - when working on weekends, you won’t get paid. You do get a bonus but these get taxed heavily. You may end up working long hours on the weekend that may not justify your bonus - Brookfield could be a lot more diverse - Brookfield’s culture is toxic - management is weak

Pros

Not much that I can think of other than a fancy office.

Cons

Where do I begin?!? They are a Real Estate owner/operator/manager that decided to get into the private fund business. Not sure how they were able to amass the amount of AUM they currently oversee, but they are truly run like a small shop. I have seen leaner and smaller shops run and managed better than Brookfield. If you like long hours, little recognition, being isolated and dealing with a lot of personalities, then this is the place for you.
