Pros

I work with a great team of like minded individuals. Love coming to work everyday

Cons

Pay is a bit low in a competitive market. Hard to live with rising costs in Seattle.

The awkward years

Pros

Flexible schedule, pretty low key relaxed atmosphere, people want to be helpful for one another. I have been with Brooks for 3+ years. Brooks means well, wants to grow and succeed....I think this is a good place to work for a while.

Cons

The pay is really low. They will do a song and dance about how they compare in the market, the reality is that it is well below Seattle standards. Make sure to get what you want. The company offers no equity, raises are 3% ish, the health benefits aresof. This is an old school manufacturer that is turning over people and struggling to figure out how to make their product relevant and adapt to shrinking retail. Very much a slow moving, meeting heavy, must get buy in, and more buy in, then check with 10 more people before doing anything. If you are entrepreneurial, be warned...Did I mention the turnover of senior leadership? This place has been a revolving door and organizational shifting is happening frequently.

Pros

What makes brooks is the people there. The employees there are simply amazing they are all passionate about one thing and that is basically the run. It's a awesome place to get your career built up.

Cons

I see that Brooks is slowly getting ruined, by ruined there are some people in the company that just ruin it for people and that just makes people want to leave the company. It feels like a high school in Brooks if your not with the popular people they just treat you unfairly. Brooks promotes the "run happy work happy" life style but how could one work happy if They are always being abused and treated with no respect. When people talk about leaving the company they don't want to leave they just want to leave the people that they are fed up with. Don't plan on seeing yourself surpass 3 years
