Pros

Good location and benefits with expensive parking.

Cons

Lots of hours worked, no respect, micromanaged, people are scared , backstabbing by certain individuals is flourishing and goes without consequences. Don’t waste your talents on this place, it’s not worth it. Goes without saying, turnover is high.

Pros

Brown talks a big game about culture, the client-first mentality, and being a member of the community. The firm backs it all up. The culture is truly unique and you're surrounded by wonderful, brilliant people at all levels of the firm. The firm will go to any length to provide solutions to clients and the level of service is top-notch. The community impact is significant. Brown doesn't donate a ton of money to charity besides supporting clients, etc. but the time and effort donations from employees are incredible. Nearly every employee is on a board or an active volunteer with at least one organization, which is more important than sponsoring events for marketing. The promotion culture is largely a meritocracy, but there are some cons. Stock options are huge if you plan to spend several years at the firm. Tuition reimbursement is also an incredible benefit.

Cons

There aren't clearly defined career paths at Brown, which is something they're looking to change. This is a Pro for many people who like flat-organizations and is an opportunity for ambitious people, but it doesn't bode well for those who are accustomed to the "put in your time, get promoted" cultures of big companies or government. Brown has been undergoing growing pains for several years and there are lots of cons that go along e.g. demands to implement huge projects and systems with budgets and staffing of a small company. In order to be promoted, you definitely have to be a member of the "club" which is a con for many folks. I think it speaks partially to the culture, but there is definitely an old boys club mentality that leadership is trying to make more inclusive. Politics and whether or not you have a wealthy network is sadly a factor in the promotion process. Compensation isn't great if you exclude the stock options and aren't a senior employee.

Pros

- most people are generally nice EXCEPT for a select few - nice benefits - tuition reimbursements - networking opportunities

Cons

- too top heavy - management does not care for your advancement unless you are in the inner circle - select people are extremely rude and exhibit outrageous behavior. They are never talked to or reprimanded. - offers stock options but it's actually worthless - creates an illusion of a perfect culture when in fact there is no such culture - not diverse - puts down people in lower positions - a lot of inefficiencies in processes and etc. - good performance is not fairly rewarded when deserved. What is the point of working harder if the end result doesn't change. - it's very obvious someone is posting fake reviews to make BA seem somewhat decent on glassdoor.
