Pros

- Patient acuity is high in some ICU's. - Opportunities for research and nurse-lead committees - Because there are many varied units, the option to change specialties is good.

Cons

- Union mentality squelches development and achievement ( no performance increases etc. The only thing that matters in a union is how long you've been there)

Pros

close collaboration with doctors and easy access to hospital facilities greatly benefit the disease related research. Good employee healthcare benefits and flexibility of work.

Cons

Salary starts low, and not enough increase comparing to NIH standard. Job security is not garranteed.

Pros

Great people and very professional.

Cons

Most of the people have worked there for more than 10 years...not much of innovation going on over there.
