Pros

Double pay on holidays. Free Icee’s in your crew cup.

Cons

Have to work weekends and holidays. Buc-ee’s never closes, it’s 24/7/365. No discounts on anything, gas, food or merch. One 20 minute break per 8 hour shift, only time to sit. Schedule can be 5-9 days in a row. Only people at top get best pay.

Pros

Great money get paid weekly, Your coworkers understand the struggle and relate to you overall nice people.

Cons

Working for Buc-ee's comes with hard downsides, one 15 minute break in an 8 hour shift no lunch break since Buc-ee's is considered a gas station, the schedule is actually the worst part of the job, you work up to 9 days straight back to back, but get 4 days off not knowing if you go into work because management will sometimes change your schedule without telling you so wake up every morning and check your schedule. One minute late is one minute late you get 3 warnings before you get fired myself and a family member had to run through the store to make sure we clocked in exactly at 2PM or 5 minutes earlier. If you plan on having a life outside of Buc-ee's then don't work there unless you need the money fast at a good rate I lasted 6 months when I started in November I was happy and excited, when I put in my 2 weeks-notice in May I was depressed and just going through the motions not caring and tired.

Pros

Weekly pay and LOTS of hours.

Cons

Alot of hours on your feet, 20 min break no matter if you work 5 or 10 hours. You can't leave the breakroom ( warehouse ) and go outside for the break, You will be micromanaged like crazy, The noise level and amount of customers is ridiculous so if you get anxiety the place is not a good fit. Yes you make 18/hr but you will work HARD for it. The music is on a loop and it is the worst so between that, the customers that throw their food and other random crap on the counter, hearing Sauce on the board a million times a day and other factors that contribute to the noise level as well as working 8-10 days straight for 8-10 hours a day. Try it out - most end up quitting 2-3 days into training. There is a high turn-over for a reason.
