Pros

This was a great place to work. Generally fun, great environment within the store. Love the customers.

Cons

Upper management is objectively awful. I had worked here for years and clearly saw how undervalued and unappreciated the store managers were. They got paid pennies and were expected to meet unrealistic expectations. Upper management kept preaching "experience first" and that they wanted guests to have a great experience, but continued to push dumb programs and expectations on the employees. Things like asking the same question three or four times, being annoyingly persistent about add ons, and even going so far as to be scammy enough to sign people up with an email without their permission. The district manager herself is condescending and two-faced. She will act like your best friend to your face (as long as she is getting something from you) and then criticize you behind your back. She is the exact reason that the managers of the store all left. It also seems like upper management doesn't care at all about this. One district manager destroyed an entire store over night, but upper management doesn't have anything to say about it.

Pros

The company seems to care well enough about you as an employee, the discount is fun, and if you like people then it's great to watch people have a good time and have their day made from such a simple experience.

Cons

You're not paid even close to what you should (i work in a mall and every other store in the mall starts at $12-13/hr for lowest level associates, let alone key holders and assistant managers), the respect you receive is entirely dependent on your chief, and it's very easy to get burnt out.
