Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear you appreciated the central location and the kindness of your coworkers — fostering a supportive and collaborative team culture is something we truly value. That said, we’re sorry to hear that certain aspects of your experience didn’t meet your expectations. Concerns around staff breaks, classroom support, and ratios are important, and we want to assure you that we are compliant with all licensing requirements, including teacher-to-child ratios and health and safety standards. When a child has additional needs, such as those associated with ASD, we work closely with families and our team to determine the best support plan available within regulatory and staffing guidelines. Our goal is always to provide a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children, while also supporting our educators. We are continually working to improve our operations and welcome feedback that helps us grow. Thank you again for your time with us, and we wish you the very best in your future endeavors.

Pros

One or two teachers actually seemed to care about the welfare of the children, so there is that.

Cons

Minimum wage pay, no raises, and no benefits. Being left out of ratio was another issue, as well as the owner being an unappreciative cheapskate. I also witnessed the main infant teacher be rough and borderline abusive to the babies on several occasions and management did nothing. Also heard the same teacher loudly bragging about drinking and partying with parents all the time as well. Very trashy and unwelcoming culture here. Owner claims he makes no money and has now purchased his second Tesla.

Thank you for sharing your experience. While we’re disappointed to hear that your time with us didn’t reflect the supportive and mission-driven environment we strive to maintain, we do take your concerns seriously. First and foremost, we want to be absolutely clear: the safety and well-being of the children in our care is our top priority. Any behavior that could be considered inappropriate or harmful is not tolerated. Allegations such as the ones you’ve mentioned are treated with urgency, and we investigate all reports thoroughly and in accordance with our internal protocols and licensing guidelines. We are compliant with state regulations, including teacher-to-child ratios, and work to maintain a culture of accountability, professionalism, and care. While we recognize that compensation and benefits can always improve in the early childhood field, we remain committed to fostering a workplace where staff feel supported, heard, and respected — and we are actively working on improvements in these areas. It’s disheartening to hear that you felt the Building Kidz culture was unwelcoming as this is not the environment we aim to cultivate. Many of our team members are deeply passionate about early education and bring warmth, professionalism, and integrity to their work each day. We wish you the best in your future endeavors and hope you find a role that aligns more closely with your values and expectations.

We’re thrilled to hear that you’ve found the school culture to be productive, friendly, and growth-oriented — that’s exactly the kind of environment we aim to create for both our staff and the children in our care. We understand that compensation is an important part of job satisfaction, and while we strive to remain competitive within the early childhood education field, we know there’s always room to grow. Please know that we’re actively exploring ways to enhance our support and recognition for the hard work and dedication our educators bring each day. We truly appreciate your contributions and look forward to continuing to support your professional growth with us.
