Bad place to work

Pros

Pay checks still clear. Company car, uhh that's it

Cons

Company is going under quickly. Anson Martin is destroying the company. We're bleeding cash, no one wants to have a contact with us, I've heard we're losing one of our major accounts. The area I work will shut down without that contact. Sales keeps getting to go to Aruba and giant bonuses and commissions for selling work the field has never worked on or even had any idea we'd be working on. Trash compactors, golf simulators, cleaning robots, Ice cream machines, cotton candy machines, air machines etc. All from a company that was one 3rd place in financial machines, ATM, cash recyclers, safes, currency counters. Now we're vending machine repair. DO NOT WORK HERE, unless you're super desperate for work. They take 30 minutes from the start of your day and 30 at the end of your day. On top of that free work they say you can double check the ofs system for at least 10 minutes before the start of your shift to make sure OFS (Worst dispatching system ever) has given you runnable calls. Stay away. Run away. Find someplace that will treat you with respect. You can assume that you're not a person here. You're a number. Pay is low. Benefits suck. DO NOT COME HERE unless you have no other choice. No advancement, no raises in multiple years.

Pros

Pros of Burroughs: - Stepping stone into field service work. - Company vehicle and gas paid for work - Traveling. Majority of day is spent traveling to various sites - Occasional opportunities to travel to other areas to assist others - Easy work majority of the time once you learn it

Cons

- no training really provided - service such a variety of equipment it’s hard to master some equipment we don’t see as often - no promotional or growth opportunities - no stability. This company struggles with maintaining contracts - layoffs are always a concern - no job security - hard work is not rewarded - field service gets very little recognition - high turnover of managers - lack of communication from managers and above - if you need a tool or locally sourced parts you often have to pay out of your personal account and wait weeks to be reimbursed - per diem is way below industry standards and can hardly pay for 1 meal - no pay increases - pay in certain areas lacks tremendously. Someone in Southern California shouldn’t make the same as someone in the Midwest
