Pros

The people I worked with were great Remote-first culture is a plus especially these days The product seemed actually innovative

Cons

Where to begin. The company likes to tout its constant awards and stuff but in reality the place has a very weird vibe to it. Every meeting starts off with people talking about "blue sparkles" which is just something positive, doesn't have to be specific. Pretty innocuous I thought. Everyone has to take this weird training from a woman who sounded like some kind of self-help author. A memorable bit from it was her talking about a need to stop "driving your bmw" or "b*tching moaning and whining. Also talked a lot about learning to make do with less. The entire company is also required to attend a monday meeting where the CEO and his Wife (CSO) spend an hour talking about companywide updates, but they often spend the first 15-20 minutes talking about their personal lives. This can include anything from their weekend attending the Augusta golf championship to photos of their large holiday gatherings... you get the picture. I was told attendance was mandatory because someone is keeping track. In the frontline client service roles the company monitors your productivity constantly. The expectation was that you use this time tracking software to account for basically every minute of your day by categorizing it to one or more time types based on the work you're doing, down to the second. It uses an actual stopwatch. it is relatively well-known that most people to some degree are gaming the system through tricks but some of the metrics collected are directly tied into performance reviews, so failure to play ball could have consequences.

Be careful

Pros

Work from home with competitive salary

Cons

Management is not forthright, accountable, truthful or moral. Layoffs are disguised as terminations for poor performance. HR is toothless. Employees that have been there a while are generally immune, but newer employees are not. Poor work/life balance. There is a blaming and negative culture.

Thank for your feedback. I had to look up what toothless means and learned something new today.

Incentives Delayed

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Overall wonderful company, love the people, love the leadership most of the time.

Cons

Incentives are a month late with no word other than "hopefully it will get approved soon." This is our money, and our "incentive" for working and doing well.
