Pros

Small org where if you get in the right part of the Org you can build a strong support network.

Cons

Sink or swim environment. Need to have detailed industry know Edge because without it they will overload you with clients and you will need to build your own support network. Additionally, decision-making is disorganized and lacks strategic thought. Company eliminated small perks during COVID and failed to reinstitute any of them, and the last round of merit pool was laughable. If you co,Ed here from a large organization you will be disappointed in leadership and overall organization and strategic focus.

Pros

I’ve worked in client operations for roughly 3 years and with recent changes to organizational structure, this is the first company I’ve ever worked for that I felt like I’m adding value. It can be very rewarding when you apply yourself to the mission. Drink the koolaid, leadership DOES notice and it makes a difference for your mindset. The work is hard and it takes a special person to stick it out but it’s great environment and great culture. The food, beer and wine are great perk. I personally have a great team so I love coming into work and being around the wonderful people I work with.

Cons

Not many days off are offered initially. Try negotiating that out in the interview process. Raises aren’t often given. You almost always have to ask. There is not a true performance review in place. When you become good at your job, your work load tends to increase. You have to be vocal about needing help or you could drown. Depending on your leadership (mine is wonderful) they will help you out.
