Pros

The pay and the ability to be remote

Cons

As someone else stated in Glassdoor review, you WILL need therapy after you leave this job. This same person pointed out that they will brag about having no layoffs, but this is misleading. They put most of my team on "PIPs," gave us zero direction on how to improve, and then let us all go. They did not backfill our positions. In other words, they came up with a reason other than laying us off to lay us off, to keep their precious reputation of no layoffs. In the meanwhile, the pressure cooker of "busy season" took a toll on my mental health each year. For four months out of the year, I told my friends and family to not make plans with me. I would wake up, stumble from my bed to my home office, work for anywhere from 10-14 hours, stumble back to my bedroom to decompress for a couple of hours before waking up to do it all over again. As you can expect, the quality of work produced in that time was not great. So then I had clients yelling at me and managers chastising me. When I brought up the schedule and asked for resources, for help, for anything, I was told that was just the way things are. After 3 years of this, my mind finally broke, and I had to seek out professional help. Do not let this place suck your soul or mental health. They will just discard you after they have sucked you dry. The pay is not worth it, and the benefits are subpart for a place that works in ben admin.

Pros

Some of the people were truly wonderful to work with.

Cons

They changed their minds about what position I would be in AFTER the job offer for a different position was already accepted. They assess you to death to find out what you're like as a person and make the best fit for THEM, but spend zero effort making sure you fit for the job based on your characteristics and strengths. They have some of the worst middle managers I've ever experienced and you really don't want to express your own individuality or opinion, or you will be severely punished. I realized after a month that I had made a terrible mistake and managed to escape at the 9 month mark. I DO NOT under any circumstances recommend working for Businessolver.

Pros

Low level excellence. The do-ers at the company probably don’t realize how awesome they are. After having left BSC, I realized how amazing it’d be to work with that caliber of people again. I highly encourage any non-managers at Businessolver to find some place that will pay them what they are worth. Throw out some resumes. Apply to some jobs. You’re worth it.

Cons

So much stuff. 70+ hr weeks during AE. 50+ hr weeks the rest of the year. Fear factor culture. Alcoholic leadership. Why feel terrible about yourself and fear leadership? Find someplace you love.
