Pros

This company pays for training, easily get you some direct practice experience if you are a nrecent grad of a psychology, sociology, or other human services. This is a great part-time job as well for people currently in graduate school or looking into working with children with autism. There is a lot of moral support from the BC BAs and other ABA therapist. And if you are looking to become a BC BA, they do provide some tuition assistance.

Cons

You have to be prepared for possible ASD clients who are more aggressive or violent. If you work part time there are no benefits as far as health dental, etc. if you have cancellations or have to cancel for your own personal reason, they are not paid. There are some parents that are more difficult. This is a growing company and the need for ABA therapist is increasing, so there may be job security in this company and career path. However without a BC BA certification you can only make so much with the small or unstable hours available. The attire requirements may not be the best for really hot regions such as the southern states, they require you to wear pants and do not allow any sleeveless shirts, even though you may be outside for many hours of the day playing with children

Pros

Loved my clients and I had great supervisors but I rarely had a chance to talk to them because of their heavy caseload. I can say the BCBAs are very knowledgeable and helpful. I had nothing but nice supervisors, none of them gave me problems.

Cons

For one, the pay is ridiculously lower than other companies. They offer no benefits (no 401k, no medical, dental or vision insurance) for BTs and RBTs even if you are full time! When a client cancels you are not paid for the money you have loss. COVID-19 protocols are super lax. BCBAs are able to stay at home and do tele health while techs have to continue-to do in home sessions. You don’t really talk to any of your coworkers. Only your supervisors. It is a very lonely position. They do recognize holidays but you aren’t paid for them.
