Pros

Compliant with Insurances Knowledgeable and experienced staff/directors

Cons

Caseloads contain a lot of kiddos 13-15 with low hours 9-12 a week There is a lot of unnecessary admin work such as monthly submission of requests to gain access to different codes, scheduling, completing different logs in excel, report writing can take up to 14 hours for a new BCBA even with CR and field experience, submission of notes to ask for forgiveness when parent trainings aren’t completed, monthly mandatory meetings in the middle of the day at least 2 times a month RBTs are typically hired as bodies with little to no experience with kids — training are via remote and they usually are lost for a while longer than they should be. Impossible hours requirements when children consistently cancel with a low bonus No follow through on cancellation consequences No cancellation policy for techs

Hello, Thank you for this feedback. We strive to create a culture and structure that values and respects BCBAs. I agree there is too much paperwork required by BCBAs. However, our payors require a this high degree of rigor. BE typically receives very high marks on our audits by health insurance providers. We regularly advocate to reduce the paperwork burden on clinical staff, but to no avail. Please feel free to contact me and discuss. I am open to concerns from staff and want to find solutions that lead to a more reinforcing professional experience. Dr. Steve Woolf, BCBA-D and President

Pros

Corporate ownership - its money allows for the possibility of expansion and support Large office team - nice ability to centralize insurance, family, etc. information gathering

Cons

Corporate ownership - it follows the money (focused on/supports areas/BCBAs where it would be quicker/easier to expand and cheaper for hire staff) Large office team - based in Florida it did not allow for adequate support of all regions or rapport and team building with staff Re-organization - change can be good but recent changes were not rolled out in the best interest of ALL team members Management - not a collaborative working environment, did not provide support, did not provide necessary tools for BCBAs
