Pros

It seemed good at first.

Cons

All the good BCBAs had a mass exodus. Butterfly Effects hires the most anal BCBAs who don't even know their stuff but will enforce arbitrary rules.

I appreciate your feedback. While I am confused about the BCBAs 'mass exodus' comment, since we have had the same team in place now for over a year and have added to the number of BCBAs in the south Florida market, I certainly understand your feelings about full-time positions for Techs. As you know, our business is primarily after school hours, from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Thus, the concept of home based full-time positions for Techs remains a challenge.

Pros

Have met other RBTs that have become lifeong friends.

Cons

Lack of communication, seems like nobody knows what to do. They constantly tell you that they have all these clients that's been on the waiting list, but they still take months before they can give you any clients or any hours. Not a company to work for if you have no other income. This company will have you homeless if you depended on them to survive.

As I always communicate through our monthly newsletters and every other month Town Hall meetings, the leadership team appreciates feedback and suggestions. While I wish that the commercial payer requirements to credential professionals and paraprofessionals in the world of ABA were different, we must comply with external forces and we will not compromise on training to provide the best outcomes for our clients and their families. Team members and candidates have the opportunity to improve the time from the application process to serving a client by choosing the pace at which training is completed upfront. With that said, many areas of the country do not have dedicated training families for hands-on field training and so we have continued to build our repertoire of solid alternatives to provide the utmost experience for the new team member in order to feel confident when placed in a home. To this end, we monitor our performance data points illustrating how well or not so well we are doing to bring on a new Technician. It is currently a focus with a defined project plan and project leader assessing where we can improve the process for throughput. I welcome the opportunity to speak with you to understand the challenges you encountered in your on boarding process. Challenges require creative solutions and so I would appreciate hearing your ideas.
