Having C.H. Robinson on your resume looks good to future employers as they're not aware of the internal chaos and shenanigans that happen.

I think this company could have great potential...if they taught their managers to treat their employees just as good as the managers are treated. Managers think so little of their employees it's disgusting. Their employees are only there to do a job and make management look good, but receive no help, little pay and bad remarks. Having worked at corporate, it's appalling to see that my team's size dropped nearly in half in only one year (50+ to 30ish), yet executives took no care as to why people were quitting. Management instead just feverishly hired temp/contract employees and put more pressure on their full time employee to get the job done with less. Ch strives to say that they help grow careers, however budgets are "so low", they can't afford to send anyone but management to trainings and industry conferences; employees must stay behind as someone must be there at all times. Their promotion of employees leaves little to be desired as they won't promote outperforming employees because they can't imagine loosing a top employee in that role. It's also very interesting to note the people that quit versus ones that are let go because mainly men are let go by being forced out and set up to fail - take on projects that are doomed from the beginning. It's absolutely mind boggling how this company continues to win "Best Place to Work" year after year. I also understand departments vary and so do managers, however it was rare to hear about a good manager.
