Hardly a shining example of a progressive, 21st century company - more like the sweatshops of yesteryear.
Pros
The fact that the office is just down the road from my home is the ONLY advantage to working there.
Cons
Where do I begin? In July 2013 CCL acquired Avery Dennison's Office and Consumer Products Division (as well as Avery Dennison's DES Division). The entire acquisition was a nightmare. Over 100 employees were let go immediately following the acquisition, with more being let go later in the year. Site closures are scheduled to follow in 2014. The management team at this site is only concerned with keeping their own jobs, and unlike Avery Dennison Management, they are certainly not concerned with the well-being of the employees. Our HR department has been decimated. Employee dissattisfaction is at an all-time high, and numerous people are actively seeking alternative employment opportunities. There is no point in turning to management with concerns about personnel or work because they simply don't care and wont lift a finger to find solutions to issues. I have worked in a hostile work environment before, and this ranks right up there with that one as being an extremely demoralizing and highly negative experience. I most definitely would NOT recommend this company to anyone seeking employment. While the rhetoric at town hall meetings is positive and uplifting, the reality of working at this company is anything but positive and uplifting.
