Pros

Taught me a lot about claims and gave me valuable experience handling injured workers.

Cons

Training could be more effective with a supportive and a more patient approach that helps new adjusters build confidence in their workflow and understand what will be expected of them. Unfortunately based on experience I would not recommend this position for those seeking consistency and are looking to grow.

Pros

If you get on the “right” team and build connections with coworkers it isn’t horrible and you definitely will learn the longer you are there about commercial and general liability claims.

Cons

No work life balance, company is growing too fast with a high turnover rate. Little to no training despite a trainer on board. Disconnect between adjusters needs and management expectations.

Pros

-Some coworkers are fantastic people. -Learning new lines of insurance. -Some clients are amazing partners.

Cons

-Senior leaders are two faced and will trash talk about adjusters. -Leaders who seek out political affiliation and punish those who are not of the same perspective. -Leaders make horrible comments about accents, sexuality, political affiliation and generations. -Leaders throw adjusters under a bus to save face, even when it’s a situation they created. -There are no clear metrics being distributed to the front line workers, but you will definitely know when you don’t meet these unspoken metrics. -This idea of company culture is being said and simultaneously protecting the worst of the worst. Culture can be found on what is tolerated, not the words spoken. -Promotions are based on what people look like on paper, not on actual ability to perform. Senior adjusters may have 20+ years, but no technical skills, so they underperform. Supervisors may have 20+ years, but abysmal people skills, pushing actual talent out the door.
