-A lot of autonomy -Pay is better than being in-house, often -Flexibility. As long as you're delivering, no one is babysitting you -High degree of professionalism and no drama -Learn a lot

Cons

-It is against the rules to negotiate your salary! -Lack of pay equity and transparency -Isolating -Not all projects are interesting -Difficult clients -Stressful to learn the ropes an be immediately expected to be an "expert"
